I don't think that they were very popular. The Germans used armoured railway vehicles to scout and secure train lines as part of their invasion of Poland in 1939 and the later offensive against Russia (1941). Models of those "Draisine tanks" are manufactured by Liliput. I don't think that they were very popular with the local inhabitants.
