RhB Photo Locations Guide?

Hello,

I was curious if there were any sites that had a guide for good photo locations on the RhB.

Thank you!

The "overhead problems south of Arth Goldau" was actually a shunting accident at Schwyz. A shunting movement was routed onto the wrong track and ran through the shed belonging to the ironworks there before colliding with various objects including preserved PTT Tm 2/2 1 and damaging some of the overhead:

Not a good day on SBB. The Gotthard was closed due to overhead line
problems south of Arth-Goldau last night into today.

Currently no trains at Winterthur station. First an engineers' train derailed at the east end of the station. This did not cause a complete closure to start with but ICN 500 002 was then damaged by a dislodged overhead cable when passing the derailment. There do not appear to have been any injuries

Generating tourism for the canton of Graubünden has been a main purpose of RhB ever since it was built. RhB's own trains and equipment are one reason quite a few people visit Graubünden. Like any other information that attracts tourists (and fills the restaurants, hotels and trains), it is counter-productive to charge for it.

Many thanks for your action on this and for sharing the information with the Group. Much appreciated. Don

I would be most interested to learn if the daily RhB Lokdienste will still be available to purchase and for how much following this change?

Cheers,

Don

While I would not object to paying a small subscription for the diagrams
the RhB will likely alienate enthusiasts by the way they have done it.
I would point out though that the 89 Franks includes a day's unlimited
travel on RhB first class.
Francs not Franks.
Although 98 Franks would be interesting

502 207 worked a 15:34 Ersatzzug Zürich HB-Basel today, replacing TGV 9226

... which is obviously of no use for persons holding a first class Generalabonnement.

Markus, Gürbetal, holder of a first....

11170 and 11311 are withdrawn and will go for scrap shortly.

421 388 and 421 393 are currently being used for parts at RBL

I've just uploaded the summer diagrams to the files area for anyone who doesn't already have them.
Perhaps we need RhB Club group membership?

Just looked for the RhB loco diagrams (lokdienste) - previously (until a couple of days ago) freely available on RhB Bahn website:

"the lokdienste are now exclusive to members of the RhB Club"

OK I thought - maybe not so bad, how do I join...

looked further on and clicked on RhB Club link...erm...

Club annual membership single person over 16 years - CHF89...

I was several days in the RhB area and didn't see any of Alvra driving
trailers in use...
57801 is in use, 3513 was the motive power when last seen.

I can go one better than March 2017. I saw it (as noted in my report to this group incidentally) on train 844 Andermatt - Disentis on 8 April 2017

The search tool on a photo site mislead me, it was Deh 4/4 II 52 at Göschenen. However 21 is confirmed as having been in passenger service between Andermatt and Disentis on 16.03.2017
