DB ICE 1
With the border to Germany closed it looked as if DB 401 Class ICE units would no longer be seen past Basel before their replacement by 412s next month. However restrictions were lifted earlier than suggested and today the following have worked:

Re: New livery for BLS 465

That livery was painted on one locomotive (Re 460 016) as a prototype. The livery was not well received and it was never officially adopted. The SBB decided instead to initially remove the "2000" from the lok faces and has since decided that a more glossy red with the SBB logo added to the lok faces would be the new appearance of these loks.

Someone ought to refresh our memory and post a picture of the "new" standard Re460 design scheme with the wave. I never saw a picture of a real locomotive, just a HAG model. How long did they actually last before they were repainted back to the original?

Tramways.at has already recorded that the cars are 61 81 75-71 450-9 to 454-1. Not sure why the article mentioned DB, then as these cars were never with DB. I don't like these light greens too much.I agree. IMO worse than the 1970s 'universal' orange that fell out of favour because people didn't like it.

WLAm? T2S back to Switzerland?
csipromo
I was reading that a few of the WLABm 32 T2S sleeping coaches have been acquired from ÖBB/Nightjet and will be repurposed as sleeping cars for RAlpin ROLA trains.
I am guessing that these coaches, originally built starting in 1975 will replace some of the older ex-SBB RIC coaches that RAlpin acquired from Hupac when it was founded. Additionally, with the loss of one of the more modern UIC-Z type couchette coaches, these will be a welcome addition to the fleet. http://www.bahnonline.ch/bo/69820/fuenf-ehemaligen-oebb-schlafwagen-wlabmz-61-fuer-ralpin.htm Does anybody know whether the coaches being modified for RAlpin are precisely the former WLAm 450-454 of the SBB or include others from the ÖBB fleet? Re: New livery for BLS 465

I don't know how much I like the new BLS colours. I guess I will want to see how it looks when the locomotive is attached to a train.
I would be curious to see whether it would be more attractive with a dark blue or silver stripe along the bottom of the green, kind of the way that the SBB loks used to have the white stripe between the red or green and the grey part. Regards Mike C
