These locomotives were originally leased by Crossrail or Linea. They ended up being the backbone of the Crossrail fleet running between Belgium/Holland and Italy before Crossrail went into restructuring, at which point the lease was taken over by SBB Cargo. The locomotives ended up being subleased to TX Logistics (FS) and saw use on the Gotthard and Simplon. At the same time, operation of Crossrail in Germany and Benelux was taken over by Rhenus Group.
In 2018, the locomotives were transferred to a new division of Rhenus in Switzerland called Cargologic, but that did not change the operation of the locomotives.
Starting late last year, these locomotives were designated to haul the Ralpin ROLA trains which had previously been operated by BLS Cargo using their Re 485 locomotives.
The locomotives previously had the registration D-XRAIL (Crossrail) but now have the registration D-BLSC.

186 908 New livery (SBBCI): https://www.railcolor.net/images/basic/bomb_34363_92.jpg

So, these are BLS locomotives being leased by SBBCI to operate trains run by a joint venture between SBB Cargo, BLS Cargo and Hupac
I am confused. Does anybody have more specific information on how this works?

Thanks and regards

SBB and SNCF have a coordinated closure for engineering work this year. There will be no trains from 01.03.2021 to 31.10.2021 inclusive

It has now been acquired by DSF and is currently stored at Oensingen. Number Ee 97 85 1 932 515-0 CH-DSF has been put on it.

That and it should be the fourth track (not Forth) unless it crosses the Firth (that is)

The forth track between Dulliken and Däniken has been delayed and is now expected to be opened 12.04.1921
that line must have taken more than 100 years to complete :)

Sorry typo, 2021!

Eisenbahn Amateur reports that the line via the Eppenberg Tunnel is 18 metres (59 feet or just under a chain) longer than the original route.

We might also, at some point, delete some older content.

Additional space is quite expensive, it cost 220$ a year and then
it's only 20 GB. Not very impressing if I compare with the costs of 1
TB elsewhere. But so far I'm glad to have groups.io as a system. It's
not the idea to make it a photo album...
This is why I will not allow attachments of more than 500 KB.

All good news, Markus; thanks. Knew you'd be on top of the changes.

I wonder if you are using the old method from the Canadian posting
site; that site used "" & "" to surround images you wanted
to post to it, Groups i.o. doesn't. Just pop the URL into the text
and we can use that to go and see them ourselves in our own browsers.
Unfortunately this isn't the case. The comma in the URL causes problems if you look at the message online. But when reading the massage in Thunderbird, everything works o.k. It might be groups.io's software that causes the problem.

Fwiw, free groups on .i.o now have a very limited space allocation for
images, so best just to refer to images in future; I think you'll find
we'll have to from now on, especially for 'brief-life' news stories.
Of course, I could be wrong, (and will no doubt be told so if I am),
but that's what I've gathered from other i.o. groups...
We have 1 GB free. Until now we use a total of 637 MB. This includes everything importe from the old Yahoo group, and all files since 2000.
Attachments: 21 MB - 2% of 1GB
Photos: 463 MB - 46% of 1GB
Files: 153 MB - 15% of 1GB

Markus, can you try to fix the URL? If not, you can view the photos in the news link.

In the e-mail the links were all perfect. But for the online version, I can't repair the deep links to the photos. However, the link to the news article should always work.

The MUTZ that crashed into the one standing in Belp was MUTZ 011. I couldn't recognize the number of the "victim of the kiss" in the dark.

LRZ from Frutigen came late evening to the Gürbetal (passed Thurnen at 22:12) to rerail. It was reported that the two units left only on the next morning (thus a year later ;_) )
