The Saxon steam lines are 750mm gauge and have various levels of museum operations.
There is a pure preserved line the Pressnitztalbahn which was closed in the late DDR era which would suit the WB

In reply to Martin, Similarly, stock from the Zillertalbahn can be seen running on the Welshpool& Llanfair railway in Wales. Whatever happens to the WB stock, let us hope that it goes to a good home.

Re: Steam on the WB line
Perhaps one of the 760mm gauge lines in Austria would be interested in the WB loco and coaches. The Zillertalbahn have bought and regauged equipment in the past for instance.

I can think of only one line in Wales which is, or close to, 750mm gauge and that is the Welshpool & Llanfair Light Railway. Surely this loco would not be powerful enough for regular use on this

Re: Steam on the WB line
Regarding gauge, 750mm is close to the gauge of several UK narrow gauge lines. I could imagine the loco and coaches running up a Welsh valley line, running on best Welsh steam coal, of course.
