When I was 9, we stayed at the Castel Zuoz. While we were there, I skied from Zuoz pretty much all the way to Samedan and back. The path was well marked and parallelled the RhB line. I am sure that

Just think of the places in Switzerland with high altitude flat wide

The Goms and the plains between Biberbrugg and Sattel, you mentioned already.
I am not sure how well the tracks are made in the Engadin, but that

I dont ski, but there are a lot of cross country ski tracks around Pontresina/Celerina/Samedan/Bever.
(Make quite good footpaths as well!!)

Happy New Year to all...
Had 4 nights at Filisur in rather sunny weather. Most excellent!
Some highlights were 703 on the St Moritz Chur circuit on 1/1 and 605 on the tobogganzug and 602/610 on
