Nostalgia : Progress !
I feel rather the same about the BLS base tunnel - pleased that the railways are modernising, but sad to lose the old route with its spirals.

Don`t rely on your seat being reserved in the train
though!
Twice on the MOB I have reserved only to find the seat
unmarked as reserved and occupants in place.

Interestingly the MOB has a website where you can reserver your seat,
with clickable car diagrams where you can see which seats are still
available. Really cool

Sounds very disciplined. And reminiscent of what goes on all over the
Netherlands where passengers change trains by moving from one coach to another on
some trips where emus are joined and unjoined

anger at RhB not taking the needs of nostalgic railfans in to
consideration when buying new stock.
