Hi all,

Can anyone advise me of the current situation or location of 61 81 72-70 610-2 & 612-8?

These are the former CIWL 4802 & 4804 respectively, WLABmz type MU built Waggon und Maschinenbau, Donauwörth 1967.

I haven't seen them for some years but they were last reported at Wien Westbahnhof c.2011 carrying keeper code A-SWISS, which I assume to be Swisstrain SA although the correct VKM would be A-SWTR.

Any help would be much appreciated.

The SBB Cargo Int Vectrons are all registered in Germany, hence 193s. The
BLS Cargo and Railcare Vectrons are registered in Switzerland, therefore Re
475 and Rem 476.

Because they are neither owner nor keeper nor ECM of the locomotives. As a consequence, the locomotives are registered in Germany and the German authority calls the Vectron 193, while the Swiss authority calls them 475 and 476 for the version with auxiliary diesel.

There is a PKP EU46 516 (Siemens 22578) from the series 501-518. There were supposed to be 15 with an option for 5 more. PKP might have numbered the additional 5 as 516-520 even though the 193 XXX numbers are not sequential.

511 121 worked 2437 20:10 Zürich-Erstfeld and 2440 22:19 Erstfeld-Zürich today instead of the normal 460 pushpull

The numbers start at 516 because PKP EU46-501 to 515 are 193 501 to 193 515 as well as their Polish numbers

I wasn't correct: Both sites have exactly the same (official) information. To get bus routes and times you have to open "Swiss public transport network map" at the top left and select "Bus routes". Then you have to zoom in above 50% until the bus routes appear in yellow.

The short answer is no.

This is a common question on rail forums across the net, and it usually gets similar responses referring to 'real time' information about passenger trains, but that is not the same thing as Real Time trains.

The UK is almost unique in having Real Time Trains - ie a system freely available to the public that shows the exact location and movement detail to the half minute of every single train running including freight, light locos, tamping machines etc.

There is indeed a system called Rail4, but it is SBB intranet based and only available to staff, it is similar to our TOPS systems.
