RhB : preservation status

David Prior

Came across these fascinating documents recently and as I don’t believe a link has been circulated, am sending it to all.

https://www.historic-rhb.ch/rollmaterial.html

RhB Historic is an umbrella organisation of seven groups with preservation interests, such as Club 1889 (which for example owns steam lok 12 “Heidi” and Bernina lok 182), or the Bergün Museum (which holds krok 407, and the Misoxer BDe 4/4 491).

The five pdfs show the active and inactive (museum) fleets, as well as a “wish-list” for future items. The diagrams of possible operating compositions makes an interesting read, too, particularly the 70s/80s.

More recent interest includes :
602/603 best technical example return to green
605/610 best technical example remain red
611 return to green
702 to Luzern Transport Museum
705 on the museum list for green / chrome
707 return to green / chrome
5X one of the Bernina series 51-56 to be preserved

Please read the list carefully. What is listed as "Anträge" are nothing more than ideas or dreams but without any decision taken or any money reserved.  Those commented "reserviert" will remain where they are but nothing has been decided so far. It is a sort "protection from scrap".

611, 707 and one of 51/56 are on the definitive list. The rest is ideas and reservations.
