I see the SZU website specifically mentions the level crossing at Friesenberg where the trolleybus overhead and that of SZU intersect.
The text makes it sound as if a special treatment is being applied here. But from my understanding from talking to VBZ people is that there won't be any special installation but that they will just leave a gap in the trolleybus overhead, to be traversed on battery power, as is presently already the case at Bucheggplatz and Albisriederplatz. That hardly qualifies as a difficult or groundbreaking challenge. Does anybody know if this is the case?

SZU Uetliberg Be 4/4 21 to 28 (556 521 to 556 528) will be used in passenger service for the last time on 18.04.2022. SZU have published their intended times. They will be retained for a while for engineering trains in connection with the AC electrification to Uetliberg but when that is completed be sent to Kaiseraugst.
Valid 15 to 18.04.2022 Zürich HB SZU depart 1035 and hourly until 1835 Uetliberg depart 1105 and hourly until 1905
