A 30 month closure of route 6 to Fischermätteli is on the cards from January 2023 The cost of the work means it has to be approved by a local referendum which will be on 28.11.2021

Neuchatel to La Chaux des Fonds and on to Besacon SNCF have been closed since start of traffic 01.03.2021. Trains are due to resume on November 1st

On the LEB line from Lausanne the section from Lausanne Flon to Prilly-Chasseur is due to close at end of traffic 24.09.2021. The street running section this includes will be replaced by a 1478m tunnel which was due to open in April 2022 but seems to have been delayed until mid May. Montetan station will permanently close on the 24th. There will be a bus substitution which will run to and from Lausanne main station (SBB) and not Flon

These are two independent closures and La Chaux-de-Fonds - Le Locle isn't affected. Trains Biel/Bienne - La Chaux-de-Fonds - Le Locle run as usual.

The tunnels between Les Hauts-Geneveys and La Chaux-de-Fonds urgently need a reconstruction, even if they are only used for another ten or fifteen years. It is planned to build a new line more directly between Neuchâtel and La Chaux-de-Fonds. However, this also means steeper grades and I'm not sure if the planned running times of less than 15 min can be reached.
